By now, everyone has heard the news that Anthony ‘The Mooch’ Scaramucci, Trump’s new director of communications, has been fired just 10 days after taking the position, which in itself forced Sean Spicer and Reince Priebus out of the administration. By now the word “shambles” doesn’t seem strong enough to describe the state of the Trump administration. Presumably, if one writes ‘Work at the White House’ on an application for a rental, mortgage, or credit card, they’re immediately stamped as high risk and their details are forwarded to the local unemployment office.
Celebrities are increasingly becoming a voice in politics and never more than when scandal rocks the Trump administration. Fortunately, they don’t have to wait very long for their next opportunity to strike. This time Kate Hudson threw a swift left hook to really finish off Scaramucci, posting a rather apt throwback to one of her most popular movies on her Instagram page:
Scaramucci made the mistake of embarrassing his royal Trumpness’ administration after theNew Yorker published an interview with him in which he cast certain self-pleasuring aspersions against Steve Bannon, and referred to Reince Priebus as a:
‘a f—ing paranoid schizophrenic, a paranoiac,’
Despite Trump having a history of badmouthing anyone who speaks out against him, or doesn’t speak out against him, or crosses his path, or looks at him, or dares to exist at all, he apparently doesn’t extend that same courtesy to his staff, and discarded the new director of communications with as much care as you’d imagine he would discard the greasy paper that once housed the Big Mac he probably had for breakfast that very morning.
No word yet on whether there will be a ‘new’ new director of communications, but you’d have to imagine that anybody approached for the position would think twice about accepting a role in what is fast becoming an administration made up of temporary and casual staff. Trump may have to include increased human resources costs in his budget to account for the high turnover in staff his office has experienced since he came to power. So goodbye ‘Mooch’, it was short, it wasn’t that sweet, and it was definitely you, not us. Check out Jimmy Kimmel’s ‘interview’ with the dearly departed ‘Mooch’ below.
